In the month of January I have read four books, all of them from the Throne of Glass Series. I finished off last year by reading the first book “Throne of Glass” in this famous book series from Sarah J. Maas, and started into the new year with “Crown of Midnight”.
After devouring the second book of the series I continued with the novella “The Assassin’s Blade” before reading the third book “Heir of Fire”. I read it in this order because I saw it in a video on booktube. I probably wouldn’t do it again, because I wasn’t able to really enjoy The Assassins Blade, after the crazy ending of Crown of Midnight. Those of you who read it will know why.
I ended this reading month with “Queen of Shadows”, the fourth novel in the series.
Besides reading these four books, I listened to two audiobooks. The first one being “Becoming”, by Michelle Obama, which I really enjoyed. It’s Michelle Obama herself that reads the book, which I think makes it a lot more authentic, than if someone else would have read it.
The second audiobook I listened to was “Pineapple Street” by Jenny Jackson. I thought this book was quite okay to listen to while doing other stuff. I probably wouldn’t have continued it though, if I read it as a physical book, because I couldn’t relate with these rich characters and their lifestyle at all.
